Thank you for your interest in our chapter!

Yearly Schedule of Meetings & Events
The Stephen F. Austin chapter meets the third Monday of select months (Sep, Nov, Jan, Mar, and May) at 12:00 noon. A light lunch is provided. At each meeting, we have a speaker on Texas history, we discuss Old Business, New Business and have Announcements.
Our regular meeting place is the Northwest Recreation Center, located at 2913 Northland in Austin - Enter on the west side of the building. There will be a sign on the door. (On occasion, we need another location so please check monthly list below)
A Texas history site or museum is chosen for a field trip in February and October. In December, we enjoy a Christmas party together. A scholarship luncheon is hosted by our chapter every April. At the May meeting, a chapter member is the speaker who gives a presentation on one of her Republic of Texas ancestors. The State Convention is also held in May.

DRT 2026 Annual Convention
The Daughters of District 2 wish to invite you all to join us in Fort Worth, Texas, May 26-30th, 2026 for the 135th Annual DRT Convention which will be held at the Sheraton Hotel. The 2026 convention, themed “Cowtown & Cowgirls - Celebrating Generations of Texas Women” will help us learn more about women in Texas history - exploring past, present, and future generations. The convention also promises to bring the opportunity to share insights and foster collaboration.
We are confident that your presence will contribute greatly to the success of the convention, and we are eager to have you join us in this enriching experience.
Don't forget to pack your boots and hats and Texas-sized bling! I look forward to seeing you in Fort Worth.
Theresa Taylor
District 2 Representative
The Daughters of The Republic of Texas
